About Our Kayak Trips
5-Mile Trip
Our 5-mile kayak trips start at our boathouse in Jefferson, N.C. Two to three hours of simple paddling and beautiful scenery later, you’ll arrive at the New River State Park Wagoner Access where our shuttle will pick you up and return you to our boathouse.

10-Mile Trip
Embark on an unforgettable 10-mile kayaking expedition down the enchanting New River in North Carolina, where a world of discovery awaits. Spend four to five hours immersing yourself in nature’s wonders as you paddle through tranquil stretches, navigate exhilarating rapids, and marvel at the majestic cliffs that line the riverbanks.
Prepare for an epic journey along the New River, as our 10-mile kayaking trip takes you on a thrilling adventure through North Carolina’s picturesque landscapes. Delight in the ever-changing scenery, from serene meadows to dense forests, as you navigate the river’s twists and turns. After a day of paddling, the shuttle will greet you at the historic Gentry Road Bridge, ready to whisk you back to our boathouse,
Overnight Kayak Trips
Our overnight single and tandem trips are flexible and can be custom-tailored to your camping reservations and put-in and take-out preferences. We encourage our overnight adventurers to secure campsites at their preferred stopping points before booking a kayak. Overnight paddlers can camp at Wagoner Access, Riverbend Access (canoe-in only), 221 Access, Prather’s Creek (canoe in only), Zaloo’s Big River Outpost, or Alleghany Access (canoe-in only).
